For example, the charts on the 30 min., USD/JPY have been “meandeing” or have not rallied in any one direcetion for the past 24 hrs.. Which technocal indicators do you use on your chart to identify a good trading opportunity?

When the market is going sideways, the best technique is… to stay out and find another one that trends. If you want to try anyway trading support and resistance is your best bet. Indicators are too slow. But I found out the hard way that the risk-reward ratio is not good enough for non-trending markets.

Trading the FX market is very unpredictable, even more if you lack effective tools (software, charts, etc.) that I know they are out there…

The TED(Tressury Exchange Derivative) spread is good method though some have gone under playing this including some Nobel laurettes. The idea is you look at the short term or long term rates and the exchange rate movements and invest in short term or long term t bills in foreign currency when their exchange rate is moving up and convert back after the exchange rate has gone up. Such opportunities has to be figured out thoroughly before getting into it.

I keep hearing good things about them and this mourning i saw an analysis on the cable tv money channel giving rave reviews on fx ring leader , how there calls dominate the forex markets. i just want to know if any one has gotten rich from using them ! and has your account ever gone negative using them i looked at there trading history and it looks too perfect. seems like on average they only have 2 stop out per month. so am i reading the report correctly ? iv only found 1 negative thing about them but i realized it was just a competitor of theres running a "name smear campaign" so i have disregarded his bogus reviews on them since i see them on national t.v now. please post any positive reviews on your personal use….

You track you P/L while the position is open, or when you close the position.

The open has no bearing on your P/L if you have no position. Put another way, if you have no position in the market, your P/L doesn't change, regardless of what the market does.

Please advice where can I get the best information (analyzed by some professionals based on the World’s economic indications) to help me with my entering into the Forex trading. I hope to find well established and legitimate source that could send me emails on the daily bases with their (free or paid for) advices, recommendations and alerts for the next trading day and so on… I’m sure there are number of Forex advisers and companies providing this type of service, but I do not know to find them and how to find out about their “track record”. trying to become successful at forex trading?

hello people , ive started forex trading and even done a course on it . i use fxcm and my style of trading technial on 5 minute charts with 30 pip stop loss and even if i can consistently make 20 pips a day id be happy. it looks workable but ive been using fxcm for some time now and have heard that they are stop hunters, is this true? which is the best and reliable online broker ? which is the best tech. indicator on 5 minute charts or best combination of tech indicators? final question are any of you fx traders living in dubai , if so id like to look and meet them to exchange ideas. thanks appreciate the help.
